Super Coupon Woman is holding her first ever fundraising project to raise money for Super Coupon Woman Foundation! We are collecting new or gently worn shoes that will help those that have been affected in natural disasters, and raise money For our charity to allow us to continue helping those in need in Wylie and surrounding communities. Super Coupon Woman helps those in need as they are having financial struggles or mother nature throws them an unexpected curve ball such as an unexpected house fire, hail storm, or tornado to name a few. We have donated well over $150,000 to our community by using the power of couponing, and collecting others unwanted items to share with those in need. We now have a storage building full of clothing and various items where they can come shop as they would in a store for items they need. Her Pay It forward circle grows and grows and now needs funds to grow even further to allow her to own her own building one day! Our goal is 200 bags of shoes. 1 bag= 25 pairs so 5,000 total. With everyone’s help this can be done. We need 500 people to donate 10 pairs each. Ask Family and friends to collect even more! Please contact me if you have any shoes to donate especially if you live in wylie or surrounding areas. Fundraising deadline is April 15th, so still plenty of time to collect. I will pick up or we can meet : firstname.lastname@example.org

If someone would have of told me 15 years ago that I would start a Pay it Forward mission that would lead to donating over $100,000 to my community, I would have thought they must be talking to someone else. At that time, I was the one needing help, hoping and praying everything would go just right. As single moms, we learn to take things day by day doing whatever we can to make sure our children are happy without them knowing the financial struggles we face every day.
Luckily I had friends that pointed me in the right direction of number’s I could call to see if they would be able to help with a bill, food, or maybe a little assistance to pay the rent. Sure, most of the times the answer was no, but what a relief it was when I came at just the right time and they said yes!
I must have had a guardian angel to help me make it through those tough years. I was stubborn, I wanted to be able to do this on my own! The problem was my money didn’t seem to stretch far enough. I only had $50.00 left over from child support after rent was paid.
My children tell me they had a great childhood, so I managed to hide things pretty good. I would always look for free things to do, we would go to the library and park a lot!
Things got a little easier financially when they were old enough for me to get a job, but they became more expensive as they turned into pre-teens and needed all the make-up, and money to go to the movies, and more expensive clothes.
I learned how to coupon in late 2008, and I not only saved money in my own budget but soon began to see how Couponing could help me pay it forward to my community as a way to give back for all the help I had received when I so desperately needed it.
I began to ask my friends and family and even the community to donate their unused coupons to the local food pantry so I would be able to get more items to help those in need in my community. I usually get bored with things quickly, so I wanted to keep donating a priority, so I started creating challenges for myself to reach such as donating $500.00 (keep in mind, I am a single mom so money is still tight) then $1,000 which I reached out to the media to hopefully inspire others to donate to their communities with the help of coupons.
My challenges continued to get larger. I challenged myself to donate a $10,000-holiday donation in retail value for $1,500, that I successfully completed and allowed me to donate over 700 gifts to those in need in my community while achieving an 85% Savings! As soon as I completed that one, I immediately came up with challenging myself to donate $50,000 within a year. (Even I thought I might be a little crazy for doing this one.) I started having some financial issues and was going to call it off, but my friends encouraged me to continue to donate and offered to help reach my goal! I was able to collect 33,500 of the $50,000. I decided to finish the challenge in 2016 and celebrate by Paying It Forward with 100 backpacks filled with school supplies to those in need throughout my community. I am proud to say I successfully completed the challenge August 10,2016.
There have been ups and downs since I started donating, but I have truly started a pay it forward movement which I am proud of and will now be sharing it in my upcoming book to be released on Black Friday 2016, I will share my story and teach others how to coupon and save money which will hopefully lead to donating to their communities as well, called “Cutting Hunger One Coupon At A Time” I am Super Coupon Woman, but I need some help filling up the food pantries across the nation Will you be the Super Coupon Woman in your community also?
I have not been able to write this post until today, and still having a hard time writing it. I was hoping for an easier year in 2016 since I have a rough couple of years financially, but it seems this is not to be. On Saturday May 28th, Jim called me to let me know that the business we owned together caught on fire. The fire spread very quickly and nothing could be saved. We believe that the fire started due to an electrical malfunction.
This is our busy season which makes this event even more harder to deal with because we were already on a tight schedule to get orders out. We had one Gazebo finished that got destroyed in the fire and the materials for the next gazebo also.
We are hoping to get back on our feet as quickly as possible to get everyone’s Gazebos to them in a timely manner.
We had just started recovering from the two Wylie Hail storms from April where our house and cars got damaged, my daughter’s car got destroyed and she did not have full coverage.
Though these events may have my spirits down, I will continue to Pay It Forward as soon as I can recover and things return to normal. I like to help others, not receive help! I am writing a book to be released on Black Friday 2016 that explains that part of paying it forward is being able to accept help when others offer. Any donation that will help us get back on our feet is appreciated, and you know Super Coupon Woman will continue to Pay It Forward to others as always. I am only $2,000 away from officially hitting $100,000 in Donations!

Super Coupon Woman
It’s New Year’s Eve 2015, last day of the challenge..I thought I would share with you the final results of the $50,000 Challenge! Even though I didn’t make the complete $50,000, I completed my 2nd goal of $30,000 or more. The final amount of donations collected and distributed is: $33,500.00! I am very happy with the results, making me be able to help many families in need. I will continue my mission in 2016 to complete my goal of donating a total of $100,000 to my community. I only need $15,000 to make this happen.
With this challenge, I have finally put Super Coupon Woman Foundation in action to help people on my own instead of donating to other charities. I am finally working one on one with people which has been pretty amazing. I was still able to help several charities such as: Arms of Hope, Big Brother’s and Sister’s, Helping Hands, as well as a few local charities. I was able to give out 25 backpacks filled with school supplies to those in need. I sponsored 12 families for Thanksgiving, and helped 70 Children have Christmas this year. After completing these missions, I gave the remaining items to those affected in Texas by the tornado’s which had a retail value of $1,725.00 of which $1,500.00 were new items.
I am very proud of this accomplishment because I thought about calling it off several times due to financial issues that took over $7,000 out of my budget. My friends, family, and fans gave me the support I needed to continue on, and encouraged me to move forward to see how much I could donate. Without their help, I would of not made my goal, it showed me that working together really does make a difference.
Thank you to everyone that donated, supported, and encouraged me. There have been tears, stress, uncertainty, but also happiness, excitement, and anticipation that has made it all worth it. Even with the $7,000 financial setback, I was able to spend $2,000 of my own money along with some amazing friends to be able to pay it forward to so many people in 2015. I never dreamed when I started couponing and donating that one day I would be able to say as a single mom, I was able to give back close to $100,000 to my community. I look forward to sharing my story in the book I am currently writing to inspire and teach others why it is so important to give back to your community, and how couponing can allow us to do so! I am hoping to have the book out sometime in January 2016! Below is some pictures of some of the great moments of this challenge.
