I like to post and share my New Year’s Resolutions with everyone and take a look back at 2018 to see how which resolutions were kept and which ones failed. The past few years have been about healing because I think the last stable year I had financially was 2012! It has taken a toll on me and lose some of my positive attitude. Some days are a struggle, but I a trying to heal each day and get back to being positive and inspirational. Here is a small glimpse of what the past few years have brought me:
2013: Job loss
2014: 10k worth of Vandalism to my car.
2015: Car got T-boned and totaled, tried to do Dave Ramsey Way and went through two more cars and ended up getting a new one with a car payment so I wouldn’t be driving around in an unsafe car. Another 10k
2016: Two Wylie Hail Storms that tore up two cars and house damage also which was in April and trying to recover from that when our business caught on fire Memorial Day weekend. All together, close to 100k in damage.
2017: Fell and hurt my shoulder at work and they would not do the right thing and fix it since I didn’t fight back. I was under severe financial stress and continued to work in pain.
2018: Finally couldn’t take the pain any longer and quit to let my shoulder heal. Did not have savings for this at all. Shortly after making this decision, my brother needed to have open heart surgery, so I went down to take care o him and my mom who was recovering from Pnuemonia. The day before I was to come back, I got sick and have been ever since.
So I am hoping and praying 2019 is a little less financially hard on me. I continued to Pay It Forward through all these road bumps life threw my way.
My 2018 New Year’s Resolutions are as follows:
Find fundraisers to raise money to grow and build Super Coupon Woman Foundation. I did have a Garage Sale that helped me pay for the 2018 Back to School Challenge where I gave out 50 New Backpacks filled with School Supplies.
Continue to focus on myself to heal and grow as we all should each year. Success..I have some areas I would like to improve on but am pretty proud of the progress I have made this year.
Only spend money on paying it forward if budget allows. I did very well and spent under 1,000 including my storage building rent so I am happy with that.
Complete 52 Week Savings Challenge: Want to join to have 1,380 savings at the end of the year? Fail…Trying Again This Year 🙂
Have three months worth of bills saved in the event of an emergency and work towards having six months saved. ummm…no, did you see up above what I have been through?
Finish Girl’s Memory boxes and Scrapbooks. Ha Ha, Good One! Trying again This Year.
Coupon & Stockpile more this year. Could of done better.
Write another book…I have a few started.
Do mystery shopping or other side jobs to try and earn an extra 3k this year.
I did close to 1,000. I am still without a job trying to find ways to earn income from home so I don’t have to put up with mean bosses.
My Resolutions are about the same except I will add:
Posting Regularly on my blog.
Not only writing a book, but publishing one by the end of the year.
Pay Debt down once again.
Continue to let arm heal.
Start Couponing more regularly.
