Super Coupon Woman
Super Coupon Woman is holding her first ever fundraising project to raise money for Super Coupon Woman Foundation! We are collecting new or gently worn shoes that will help those that have been affected in natural disasters, and raise money For our charity to allow us to continue helping those in need in Wylie and surrounding communities. Super Coupon Woman helps those in need as they are having financial struggles or mother nature throws them an unexpected curve ball such as an unexpected house fire, hail storm, or tornado to name a few. We have donated well over $150,000 to our community by using the power of couponing, and collecting others unwanted items to share with those in need. We now have a storage building full of clothing and various items where they can come shop as they would in a store for items they need. Her Pay It forward circle grows and grows and now needs funds to grow even further to allow her to own her own building one day! Our goal is 200 bags of shoes. 1 bag= 25 pairs so 5,000 total. With everyone’s help this can be done. We need 500 people to donate 10 pairs each. Ask Family and friends to collect even more! Please contact me if you have any shoes to donate especially if you live in wylie or surrounding areas. Fundraising deadline is April 15th, so still plenty of time to collect. I will pick up or we can meet : email@example.com

So now that I have reached my surpassed my donation goal and wrote my book to show others how to pay it forward in their communities, I am now going slow down this year and focus on myself and knocking down debt. I had started this journey last year and was doing pretty well until the business fire hit on Memorial Day Weekend, but something as devastating as this would set anyone back. I vowed to try in 2017 so here we go 🙂 I am listed my debts and the progress I make which helps make me accountable if I am spending unnecessary money.
Regular Bills (My Portion)
Hannah: 800.00 (For Car Down Payment, since I have helped her out a lot and last year was so tough, she has been patient a lot, she is 21 and we don’t charge her rent, and I have been paying her car insurance since she started driving, Starting in January, I will be still pay her insurance, but applying it to my debt, small steps yay)
Mom: 400 another car loan, hope to have this paid off on her birthday March 21st
Amazon 1,900.00 I let my daughter talk me into using this because she has better credit than me, and after the tragedy, we all needed a vacation because of all the stress..I spent more than necessary, so now have an extra bill :/
Fingerhut: 180.00 TV I bought for my daughter
Capital One: 481.00
Capital One: 430.00
Victoria S: 700.00
Loan: 1,050.00 (Payday loan, currently adding an extra 480.00 to my bills each month, hoping to pay it off and not take out another one…ever! last payment is March 4, my goal is Feb 4…currently saving in the 52 week challenge envelope and amount each day up to 12, soooo…we shall see 🙂
Join the 52 Week Savings Challenge to Save $1,380.00 to put into your savings account at the end of the year the easy way…Saving does not have to be hard!
I have a few other debts, but focusing on this and building an emergency fund by the end of the year. I am hoping to make an extra 3,000 in extra money by book sales, mystery shopping, and other odd jobs.
Total Debt: 7,826.00
Debt Paid so Far: 100 (Hannah’s Insurance)
New Total: 7,728.00
Trying to do a low spend month, but Murphy is trying to sneak in, Someone came in with step throat to work and I got it, even though I had Insurance, they wanted 240.00 to be seen, so I used http://www.doctorondemand.com and only paid 44.00 and 8.00 on medicine. This service is awesome, I recommend it, no waiting at the doctors office, no high doctor bill, and very convenient. For the simple illnesses, use this service: use code: tina313 and receive $10.00 regularly 49.00. I don’t know why my code was only worth 5 🙂 but hey 5 is 5 not to mention saving at least 200.00 for cancelling doctor’s visit.
I did receive a 100.00 check from Comptroller for my paycheck’s for the last week I worked at Waffle House and I-hop…55.00 from Carvana for overpaying on tags. I also used 160.00 in Christmas money to help get on track for January…so I will count all this towards my extra money goal which is 316.00
Good or bad, I will keep you updated on my journey. Share your debt free journey and goals below in the comments section. I will update my progress in February, will probably only be able to pay the minimum on credit cards this month, but when loan is paid I should be able to pay a little more. Slow and steady gets the job done!
I will still continue to pay it forward, but only with free items I get with coupons, what others donate to me, or any money raised from fundraising. I will be planning to do the $5.00 weekly Pay It Forward Challenge that I can use all at once or throughout the year. ($260.00) I will probably use this to help my daughter with diapers since they are young, and not the best at finances. Won’t you take the 5.00 Pay It Forward Weekly Challenge With Me?

2016 is coming to a close, and I am really looking forward to new beginnings in 2017. Even though I have made great strides in my Pay It Forward Challenges over the past few years, I have also endured quite a few financial struggles along the way.
The last really good year I remember having was in 2012. Some of the things I have had to overcome include job loss, lots of car issues which included car being totaled, replacing totaled car with a lemon which led to me having to get a new car with car payments to feel safer. (I hate car payments).
This year alone we endured two Wylie hail storms which caused over $8,000 in car damage and at least $30,000 in house repairs which has yet to be fixed since we rent. In May 2016 the business that I own with my ex husband (I know what???) burnt down and we lost everything causing a personal loss of $30,000. Total fire loss was over $300,000 which included several other peoples losses such as our landlord, nephew, and the business next store. Going through these struggles has made me a little down and out over the past few months.
When going through personal struggles especially as devastating as these, It’s hard to see the positive things that have happened also. There have been a lot of positive things that have happened throughout the year also. I was able to reach another $30,000 in donations which included helping 100 children with backpacks filled with school supplies, and over 50 children have Christmas this year and brings my total donations to 125,000 to my community and still going. I had a storage building donated to me from Morning Storage in Wylie, and I finished my book “Cutting Hunger One Coupon At A Time” on Amazon Black Friday 2016 which shares my Pay It Forward Mission, and teaches everyone how to coupon and other unique ways of saving money even without couponing. Everyone that has read it said that once they started reading, they couldn’t put it down and told me how good it was which makes me really proud.
Now that I have accomplished my mission and shared my story in a book that will inspire others to Pay It Forward in their communities, I will be slowing down a little this year and focusing on myself this year, as I tend to put more pressure on myself than I should. For example, I only wanted to do around 25 children for Christmas, but ended up doing over 50 because they were begging me and I couldn’t say no when in reality, I wasn’t too far off from their situation. I don’t think at anytime this year, I have had over $100.00 in my bank account.
Maybe since I have a Non Profit, people assume that I receive financial donations but since I am somewhat shy and haven’t had time, at this time I do not. I ended up being overly stressed due to a few people telling me they would send me a financial donation and backing out. There were a few other things that happened that was upsetting and left me feeling taken advantage of. This left me looking for ways to continue paying it forward, but relieving the financial struggles and extra stress as it was hard to meet up with people and when I took on more children, I ended up feeling like I let the families down because I got very few Thank you’s when I tried so hard. So through all this paying it forward I have learned a few things, and am happy to say I have came up with a way to continue paying it forward without all the stress.
I will be setting up my storage unit as a mini donation store where people can come pick out what they need, and be using very little if any of my own money. I am only allowed to use what others donate to help others or items I get free while couponing as I have spent between $8,000 to $10,000 of my own money since 2014 to help others which I have loved and would not trade this experience for anything, but know that it is now time to focus on myself and build up some savings for a rainy day. Though I am in great health, I did turn 50 this year and need to be prepared in case of an emergency 🙂
In 2017, I will regroup and get more organized, hopefully learn some ways to fund raise to get back on track to helping families in my community for Thanksgiving, Christmas, and other needs when they arise.
