Super Coupon Woman’s Life Event Update!

Life has thrown me a lot more curve balls than I would like over the past few years. I have been a server for 15 years and absolutely loved it. Cash Every day, good pay and I interacted with all kinds of people. Unfortunately, Feb 6th 2017 a little boy accidentally tripped me making me fall with a full tray of dishes and I jerked my tray back injuring my arm back to keep the dishes from hurting any customers. I did not realize how injured it was and continued to work and my job did not do a workman’s comp claim or encourage me to go to the doctor. They did the opposite and said they did not want me to go.

I had endured a lot of financial loss over the previous years and had just gotten an apartment with my daughter’s help so I felt a lot of obligation’s on my shoulder’s so I continued to work. Nineteen month’s later, I couldn’t take the pain anymore and quit abruptly. I don’t recommend doing that, but had stayed way too long being unhappy and felt they deserved the same respect they showed…none. I really loved serving and without realizing it, did more damage by continuing to work and pretend everything was okay. I now can only lift it half way up in the side position, the other positions I have full range and pain level is between two and three. So in the end, I had to do what I was trying to prevent from happening after the fall, I had to stop serving so my arm can heal. It’s been three month’s and sometimes I feel like it’s healing and other times I feel it’s the same even though I am not working which can be frustrating. They did not care enough to let me go to the doctor, so I can only guess on how to make it better or what the diagnosis really is.

I have always wanted to work at home and even though I did not have much money saved, I took this time to try and learn about different opportunities. I am also taking this time to learn about me because up until now my identity has been as a mom or my work. I want to learn about me and what makes me happy when I am not at work. I will be a mom the rest of my life but my girls are grown so I can take time to try some new career’s without the financial pressure I had as they grew up and solely depended on me.

Since my previous supervisor’s were mean and bullies, I didn’t want to jump into a job just to be unhappy again. In the previous post, I told everyone about some of the side hustles I have tried and decided they were not for me. I do encourage other’s to try them as they are good side hustles and could be what you need to bring in extra money or full time income. Shortly after quitting, my brother that also has a hurt shoulder and his employer treated him the same way. (he was braver than me and got a lawyer) He needed surgery but had to go to a heart doctor to get the okay for them to do it and found out he needs a heart operation so that put’s more pressure on me to find something to work at home since he takes care of my mom who is eighty. The past six weeks has been full of unknowns which made it hard to know what job direction to go.

I was working at TNG and didn’t want to pick up more hours until I knew what was going on. I ended up leaving due to my supervisor making the job more difficult than it needed to be. That’s one of the reasons I loved the job was not having being able to work on my own and have minimal contact with supervisor’s. Meanwhile, I had been applying for other merchandising companies. My brother will be having his operation October 22nd and I will be going down there to take care of him and my mom for about five to six weeks if all goes well.

Once I knew what was going on, I could tell interested employer’s what was going on and see if I could work down there and transfer once I am back home. I am happy to say, one company was happy to do that, I should be training this week and they will wait to hear from me on when I will be available for work once I know my brother’s status. I feel like that was a really nice thing for them to do. The Company is Drive Line Retail I will be a merchandiser and the schedule is flexible as long as you get it done by the due date. (usually within the week) so if you are needing something that you can do on your time schedule, apply today.

Mystery Shopping has been slow this month so very happy to start my new job. I will post on some other work at home job’s I am or have applied to later in the week.

If you are wondering if I am still paying it forward and helping others, the answer is yes! I have a friend that is helping as I am going through all this and she will be picking up donations and giving them out as she finds someone in need. I can’t wait to be able to dedicate more time to it when things get back to normal.

Happy Sunday!

Super Coupon Woman’s Less Than 100 Day’s Til Christmas Side Hustle’s To Try!

Hi Everyone,

Not to freak everyone out, but there is less than 100 days til Christmas! I have been unemployed since July 23rd because my company did not take care of an injury from a fall I had at the workplace and after 18 months. I just got tired of it hurting. Going through a little PSTD from bad treatment from managers I have had in the past so I have been a little nervous to jump back into a job that I would be unhappy with. I thought I would share some of my side hustles I have tried and continuing to try as I am looking for a remote work at home job since I may need to go down and help with my mom and brother since he is having surgery.

Off and on I have been a mystery shopper and have been doing some of those while I was off. I only like to drive certain areas so that limits where I choose from. I made about 250 in August, but if I was more open to travel I feel that I could make a full time living from it. The more companies you sign up for, the more chances to increase your income because some will have only a few if any to choose from, but that is only because there are so many shoppers and do not get discouraged as a lot will cancel and need shops done and sometimes they will even offer bonus pay to do them. Please keep in mind that payment can be anywhere from 30-60 days. Keeping a little notepad with shops done and the amount is helpful to keep track of how much you earn. I folder labeled mystery shopping in your bookmarks is helpful as well. I have been trying to different ones for the experience and to make me feel more comfortable while doing them.

Here are the current Mystery Shopping Companies I use They are kind of in order of my favorites, but everyone likes different things, so what I like might not be the same for you. What matters to me easy scheduling and rescheduling if needed and reports that won’t be rejected by the slightest mistake, they will correct you and give you tips on what to do and not to do for next report:

Jancyn I absolutely love this mystery shopping company. Different mystery shops that include various retail shops. Please use Tina Klein as referral name and supercouponwoman@yahoo.com if they ask for my email.

Intelli-Shop I love this mystery shopping company also. Plenty of shops to choose from as well as a variety and easy to work with. You do have to contact scheduler to reschedule, but I did so without any problem.

Sentry Marketing I have not used them as much as I should, but they have lots of different mystery shops to choose from. I will be doing one Monday for them.

North Fork Research I have done serveral shops for them, they are meticulous about the reports, just take your time and email with any questions you may have.

I Secret Shop Has several shops to choose from including web and phone shops. Easy to use, I have done one for them and plan on doing more.

EPMS Mystery Shopping I am signed up but have not done one yet, they are apartment shops and pay $25.00 so can add up quickly. Reports will need to provide precise details. Some shoppers really love to do these.

Other Side Hustles:

Lyft I got approved with Lyft in about two weeks and was excited to start, but I only like driving certain areas. You have to accept the ride and it does not tell you where or how far your going. This would be great for someone who drives a lot and feel comfortable driving in all areas of where they live. I should give them another try soon, great way to earn extra money.

Door Dash: My daughter has done this a few times, and I feel it is worth the time and effort. When we do it, we are going to do it as a team and split the money, highly recommend. Please enter referral phone as: 214-604-8842

TNG Offer’s Merchandising which goes hand in hand with mystery shopping. It offer’s a flexible part time schedule that you can do through the week and most of the jobs do not require weekends. I am working about 10-12 hours a week, but could pick up more. The pay is a little lower than I would like, but my arm is healing so that is good. Pay is $10.00 an hour. Once you have some merchandising experience, other companies will want to hire you…job security 🙂

Handy Pro Have previous cleaning experience or are you a handy man or lawn technician? Great way to pick up jobs in your area. My daughter works for them and averages around 16 an hour. You are allowed to bring someone with you to help clean the big jobs, you are responsible for paying them. I have done a few jobs with her, good way to earn extra money.

Super Coupon Woman Shoe Drive Fundraising Project!

Super Coupon Woman is holding her first ever fundraising project to raise money for Super Coupon Woman Foundation! We are collecting new or gently worn shoes that will help those that have been affected in natural disasters, and raise money For our charity to allow us to continue helping those in need in Wylie and surrounding communities. Super Coupon Woman helps those in need as they are having financial struggles or mother nature throws them an unexpected curve ball such as an unexpected house fire, hail storm, or tornado to name a few. We have donated well over $150,000 to our community by using the power of couponing, and collecting others unwanted items to share with those in need. We now have a storage building full of clothing and various items where they can come shop as they would in a store for items they need. Her Pay It forward circle grows and grows and now needs funds to grow even further to allow her to own her own building one day! Our goal is 200 bags of shoes. 1 bag= 25 pairs so 5,000 total. With everyone’s help this can be done. We need 500 people to donate 10 pairs each. Ask Family and friends to collect even more! Please contact me if you have any shoes to donate especially if you live in wylie or surrounding areas. Fundraising deadline is April 15th, so still plenty of time to collect. I will pick up or we can meet : supercouponwoman@yahoo.com

Join Super Coupon Woman in Low Spend January & February

So I made my New Year’s Resolutions and accomplished a lot last year on a personal level after overcoming many obstacles. I got a little off track during the holidays as many of us do,so to get back on track and knock out my remaining debt, I am committing to a low spend January, February, and possibly March also. I really want to quit living paycheck to paycheck and save 3 months worth of bills and slowly work my way up to 6 months or more. There are many forms of saving, each person is different as to what works for them. I think for myself I need to trick myself a little bit. For example, since I am already used to struggling, would if I struggled a little longer but save that money to get ahead in the future. I haven’t been spending any money since December 25th LOL. Here are some of the steps and techniques that I am using to succeed for my low spend months:

I am a server and have started an envelope called 10 a day for me, so each day I put $10.00 a day in there that I am allowed to use on what I want but it has to include any household needs such as food, toiletries, pet supplies etc. I did have a small stockpile built up and used a $50.00 gift card that I bought for Christmas to get a head start on my plan.

I am buying a $25.00 gift card per week to use for Christmas, If I do not use them all or need them, I can use them for myself.

I am doing the 52 week challenge, but putting amounts in daily instead of weekly, I know once the amounts get higher I may only be able to do one or two per week, but this will help me with my savings goals If I am committed to this goal. This works out to 27 per week if you want a set amount to put up each week. Please join me in this challenge weekly or daily to save money easily https://www.facebook.com/52weekschallenge/

I am doing the daily penny challenge which is the same as 52 week challenge but on a daily basis which will add up to 668.00 in a year. I am on day 170 with the change I currently have. It works out to 12.50 per week if you would like a set amount to put up also.

I am putting 5.00 a day up when I work for a vacation I have planned in July, so yes I am just trying to get in the habit of saving any way I can without knowing I am doing it! I am still searching for even more creative ways to save!

You may ask why low spend? Most people do No Spend..Just those words make us feel like we are depriving ourselves of what we want, by doing low spend and being cautious of what we spend and getting a treat here and there will allow me to succeed with this challenge.

I would love to have some support, please comment below and let me know what your savings goals are and any unique tricks that are allowing you to succeed at saving.

Happy Saving!

Super Coupon Woman’s 2017 Year in Review & 2018 New Year’s Resolutions

2017 was a year to recover and heal from several years of bad events that was hard to recover from. I had a pretty calm year other than falling and hurting my right shoulder which is my tray carrying arm. It’s still hurt and I have to be careful since I had to continue working with no money to fall back on. I am only limited to not being able to take large parties and other servers don’t believe I am really hurt.

My 2017 New Year’s Resolutions were:

Pay Debt Down Between 8-10k Success …will have 8k paid by the end of January. I did add some debt, but have a goal set to have paid by July of 2018

Build up Emergency Fund …Failed, but paid a lot of debt so it’s okay

Focus On Myself More and Not Put Extra Stress On Myself…Success!

Not Spend any money on Paying It Forward, can only use items others give me or free items I get from Couponing or any fund raising money I receive. Success…I did spend some money, but would back away if I was feeling overly stressed from paying it forward.

Make an extra 3,000 in income from side jobs such as book sales, mystery shopping, blogging, or other side jobs. Failed..only made about 200 and did not put time in on my blog, and froze as far as marketing my book because my self esteem got bruised from all I have been through…hoping to get my inspiration back this year.

Complete the 52 Week Savings Challenge which will give me 1,380.00 to deposit at the end of the year…Failed…too much debt to pay.

Try to pay for Christmas only using free money from gift cards from couponing, survey sites, etc. Failed

Write another… Book Failed

So lot’s of resolutions were not kept as with many, but the two main ones were…so I will be able to focus on the other ones this year. I hope 2018 will be a calm year that allows me to continue to heal and grow that will allow me to continue paying it forward without a heavy heart.

My 2018 New Year’s Resolutions are as follows:

Find fundraisers to raise money to grow and build Super Coupon Woman Foundation.

Continue to focus on myself to heal and grow as we all should each year.

Only spend money on paying it forward if budget allows.

Complete 52 Week Savings Challenge: Want to join to have 1,380 savings at the end of the year?
